The Beacon is an Internet radio station playing the best of the 60s, 70s, 80s, and more worldwide. We signed on at 9:30AM on May 28, 2010 with our very first song, Our House by Madness. We are chat free, with very few commercials.

Thanks to the Internet, we are broadcasting everyday from Marietta, Georgia, but can be heard worldwide. We use Live365.com to store our music, and to broadcast for us. They handle the streaming, and commercial insertion for us. We only provide the music, and update the playlist for you to enjoy. All music heard on this station has been purchased legally, and no items have been downloaded illegally. Our payment to Live365 includes royalties for the music that we play. These royalties goes to ASCAP, BMI, and SESAC.

We really do enjoy playing the best of the 60s, 70s, 80s, and more, but unfortunately, it does take money to keep it going. We have to pay our fees to Live 365 every 6 months, and we have to buy new songs.

A donation would provide us with more funds to buy more music, stay with Live 365, update our logo, and to add some professional promos and bumpers. We hope you enjoy listening to The Beacon, and will continue to do so.
