WHO ARE WE?

Hello, We're THE SHIT, from Berne, Switzerland. This is our fundraiser to help produce our first full length studio album, at the legendary vintage studio called Rancho De La Luna in the desert of Joshua Tree, California this August. We are a high energy Rock and Roll garage band featuring Robert Butler, Phillip Thoeni and Peter Hertig, recording artists from the Voodoo Rhythm Records and Subversiv Records family, here in Switzerland.

WHAT WE WILL DO IN THIS TIME?

As the video above explains, we feel we have the right people in the right place at the right time. The time is limited at the studio, we have 7 days available for recording and 3 days of mixing time, so we will have to work quick. But with this team of seasoned professionals, we are sure this will click like clockwork. THE SHIT have been rehearsing regularly and busily recording demos of our songs, so we're quite tight and very prepared with our arrangements and lyrics. 

Sessions at the Rancho De La Luna tend to start around noon, with a break for dinner around 7, then recording til after midnight. So knowing their routine we are confident we can 'bang out' all the basic tracks in seven days, in true one-take, punk rock tradition. We are bringing along 15 self penned tunes, spanning over 12 years of songwriting. Our music is very simple, groove oriented Rock and Roll, inspired by 'punk rock' music from the 60's and 70's, with a twist of modern styles and sounds.

WHAT ARE WE EXACTLY?

We are a Rock and Roll band of dedicated underground musicians and artists who have been fortunate enough to have toured across the world with dozens of music groups. Since as early as 1984, we have devoted ourselves as musicians to releasing our recordings on a variety of respectable DIY labels (Collectively we have released music on 30 different labels worldwide). We have been performing together as The SHIT since Summer 2010, and in this time we have crafted a fine fuzzy collection of hard hitting Rock and Roll songs that are ready to be recorded. Our goal is recording our full length opus entitled 'Dingleberry Fields Forever', slated for release this Winter. And we really need your help!
