Hi, my name's Matt Ericksen (or Matti Greenman, if you prefer) and I'm a musician, artist, and independent film maker here in Albuquerque, NM. 
I made this campaign to introduce and promote my film project; Tales of Anothria; a fantasy art series. It's an online animated dreamscape following the adventures of heroes and heroines as they explore deep woods and dark caverns and encounter monsters, mysteries and magic along the way.
The setting is a universe called Anothria, and the series begins with an other-dimensional race who have traveled across time to watch over the worlds of this system as they all move through a period of great change and transformation. These beings are known as the Host, and they serve as that in the series, taking us on contemplative dream rides to the various planets around them, but then also to the next short animated piece, occurring on that world. What happens on the various world could be action or drama or comedy, but there will also be frequent segments of great performances from talented musicians, dancers and artists from New Mexico's amazing but perhaps under-noticed community. -All rendered artistically in "animation style". The content of each episode will be something like a fantasy-action music video cartoon, with each piece orchestrated to music and resplendent with special effects and monsters. All adventures promise to be visually exciting and a really fun ride.
We have a really great community of performers and artists out here in NM, and this film will go a long way to support and promote some of our best. The episodes' scores are created of music from local artists, and the characters and monsters will be played by local performers and personalities. There will also be a lot of opportunities to utilize, and therefore promote and support other arts and artists in costuming, photography and sculpture, as well as, of course, all the associated arts of film making.

Our campaign hopes to raise $7,000 by December 21st, 2011.
The project has three basic needs.
TECH UPGRADE
We need a much better computer than my personal computer, The projects are really quite large and we need a dedicated PC that will deliver footage on a tight schedule. We would also like to purchase the latest edition of the full Adobe suite, it's the most professional tool package out there I know of. We will also need another external storage drive.
FX GEAR
There will be sequences that will have requirements for specific camera rigs as well as professional theater harnesses for action and flying. There is an on going need for various supplies from cloth to hot glue to build the puppets and ships and such. Costuming is also a huge need, as we often need to outfit the performers and actors.
PAY THE PEEPS
The ability to compensate our artists and performers in front of and behind the camera goes a long way towards moving the project forward and my dream is to be able to actually pay production crew and regular actors and performers.

One dollar times 7,000. makes our goal. This is my favorite way that it might happen, because I don't want anyone to feel that they can't help out, but to also know how very important each and every dollar is. We of course, will also have gotten out the word to 7,000 viewers out there in the transforming world.

If you donate $100.00 or more, I'll send you the editors package, which includes the action stills, but also clips from the series as they develop, and regular updates on the progress of the project. If you want to be involved at this level, we thank you very much for your contribution!

If you want to help out and get involved, you know we like that kind of contribution as well. We regularly need talent to play monsters and characters for the sequences. I would like to take on at least one editor understudy/partner. We could probably use a "webby" or two for internet communications as the project grows.
