My Story
This fall I am going to do a nine month Long Term Missions training program in Wales. After that I plan on going to Northern Africa to share the gospel with many people who have never had the opportunity to hear!
When I was twelve years old I went on my first missions trip. I loved it. It sparked something in my heart. I knew this was what God was calling me to do. Later that year I was at a youth conference when God began speaking to me about where I would go one day. The place He told me was Africa. I started asking Him but how would I ever do that and how would I get there. As a twelve year old, that seemed impossible. I soon learned that nothing is impossible with God. I started going on short-term mission trips whenever I had the chance. It was then that God showed me nothing was impossible. He provided everything I needed to go.
Also at this time I had began to read about the persecuted church. I read after such people as Brother Andrew, Richard and Sabina Wurmbrand, and believers worldwide that had and were currently suffering for their faith in Jesus Christ. As I read story after story of how each person suffered so much yet they were full of joy and loved God with all their heart, it began to make something in my heart burn. God ignited this fire in my heart and gave me a desire to go and share the gospel with people who have never had the opportunity to hear it and to encourage believers who are living in nations where it is illegal to be a follower of Jesus Christ.
God has blessed me tremendously. He not only gave me salvation but healing, grace, love, freedom, and so much more. I cannot have all this and know that there are people in the world who have never even heard the name Jesus.
The Impact
Jesus said in Matthew 9:37-the harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. People are living and dying without ever hearing the name of Jesus! If I do not go sure someone else may go but they may not. If no one goes, then people will continue to die without ever hearing of God's saving grace!
Romans 10:14-15 says How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can anyone preach unless they are sent? As it is written: How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!
What I need to get there
I am going into missions full time and so I will need monthly support but I am using this for my immediate cost of getting overseas. It will go towards my plane ticket, visas, health insurance, and for living expenses when I first arrive. I need $4000 before August 1st. Any of that I could raise on here would be very helpful.
