We are proposing the development of a clean, user-friendly system to help individuals receive medication reminders, monitor prescription refills, and track their medication usage over time. All designed with the end goal of improving the physical health and quality of life for people with chronic illness. Our initial focus will be on the Diabetic community, which is comprised of an estimated 26.8 Million cases in the United States. Only 7% of diabetics do all that is required of them to control their disease.

At this point we are looking to fund the first round of development and implementation of our medication reminder service, RxNotify. Any additional funds would be allocated to our second and third phase developments: a personal portal for users to monitor and receive alerts of nearing prescription refills, and an ability for users to track their medication usage over time.

According to recent figures by the CDC, nearly 1 out of every 2 people in the United States are afflicted with a Chronic Illness. To date there has been little development in the world of simple technological solutions. In order to combat this problem, Innovate Wireless Health aims to step in and help by providing a medication reminder service to the chronically ill via text message, email, or phone call to their home phone. The users health data would be securely stored in an electronic health record viewable by a family member or doctor, if the patient chooses to opt-in to our data collection network.
