Hey Friends, as many of you know and some do not I am Sam. Ive been living here in denmark three years, working in various menial jobs whilst on the side diving into my passion as a performer and events maker! Recently I was accepted into "the Commedia school" a two year intense training course that will help me change and grow as a performer!

For 9 years now i have been performing in and around europe, I make theatrical and musical shows as well as character peices and spoken word. Like many of you, i hold a dream in my heart to be self sufficent, to share land with my community and to grow my own food. I dream of doing this and supporting myself by using the skills i can use best, those i am passionate about. For the most part however i have been selling my manual labour , doing work that de motivates me and does not interest me, the overall result of this is less time and energy to put into my creative performance work.
Often the question has come to me a about how a performer can make their way How can we pay our rent and bills while trying to make shows for low costs or free? how can we get our food? Usually it seems to be that we work for a period, doing a long list of jobs we put up with because we have to, but generally feel arent taking us closer to our goals. But what would happen if we didnt do that, what would be the consequences?? The truth is, that i dont know the answer to that because Whenever i have needed funds, i have indeed, sold my time and labour.
But as i sat there miserable and wondered how on earth i would ever get the 15,000 kroner first term fee, let alone the 40,000, i realised i was thinking inside a box that i had drawn for myself, a box that said, you'll only be self sufficent once you are sucsessfull. But what is a measure of sucsess? Do i have a marker or a box for that?
The theatre school i really wish to enter sounds beautifull, it could give me the chance to intensively study different forms of performances , to add more colours to my pallete and understand and embody many of the classical teqniques of theatre into my work.
I have been trying for some time now, to only "work" as much as i need and to "play" with my performance projects as much as i can or have the impulse for. I would love to dedicate a whole two years to intense training in the feild i feel is my talent.
So I have decided to Perform my way into school, or atleast the first term. I Will hopefully do this in a variety of ways, and I am asking you guys to support me in this as much as you are able. Im throwing all my time and faifth into this, working from home..... and ill keep you posted all the way! The plan in a nutshell is to make a beautifull show in august named Enwog www.enwog.com and to finally publicise the album i realeased last year! I hope through the show and this campaigh you will join me through the ride!

The Impact
The impact of you helping me raise my goal in a nutshell is .......That I will make it into theatre school and reach my dream. On a broader perspective though i beleive that by taking risks, and following our dreams and passions in each our areas, performance or otherwise, we will live in a better world where everyone feels fufiilled! By supporting me in anyway you can, financial or otherwise it will help show that anyone with a little hard work can set goals and get there!
What We Need & What You Get
ive set the goal as 5000 us dollars (25,000 kr) or 3000 british pounds.
15,000 of this is the first term at my school (ive already got the deposit sorted!)
6,000 is living costs and a couple of months rent here in cph for the start of the course.
4,000 is for expenses of making the show in august. Paying actors, materials etc, website.
I dont ask people to give anything for nothing, i want to earn my way in, not take it. one of the coolest things you can get in return is a ticket to my august show to Enwog, the show is on thursday the 25 friday the 26 and saturday the .27 august here in copenhagen. it costs 100 kroner direct from the website (

Freinds and family in the uk or elsewhere you can buy a cd off me, or more than one for your freinds and family and ill post it out for you, or theres other various other creative packages that im offering. If you cant afford that you could get a digital download of my album.

I really really ask you the major thing here is to share this with others! Over a beer, or send it through email or facebook or wherever, maybe with a private note.
For example, family who cant afford to help financialy, maybe you could forward this to other family members and freinds?? Same with freinds, if you could all just forward this to five people it will help so much! Or maybe ask someone to buy you a ticket or a cd?
