Our Story
Hello, my name is Stephen Felt and I recently went back to school for computers after the real estate crash and I am creating a new company that provides remote and on-site tech support services to home users and small businesses with less than 25 computers. I have always been the go to techie in the family and have worked on my family's and friends computers.
The Impact
I believe I have a way to put many techies back to work by expanding this service. We have 5 tech support engineers on-call at this time and would like to add many more to our team. I started this because I wanted to provide an affordable service to people so they don't have to go to a chain store and leave their computer with some kid who is brand new to computers not to mention pay the high cost of taking your computer in to one of those chain stores. Its highway robbery what they charge and many other service providers as well. We have a low one time fix charge and low yearly subscription fees with unlimited support calls. If we can't fix something remotely we always send a technician to the clients' home or office the same day they call so there is no loss of productivity. We know how important a computer can be.
What We Need & What You Get
So, what do we need the money for? Well for starters my brother owns an old office building and has provided us with a few months of rent free space but that will run out quickly and we will need to pay the rent while we get the business up and running. We also need money for advertising the service via billboards and radio ads. I am tech savvy enough to create video commercials for You Tube and Vimeo which we are doing but the cost of a billboard on a major highway close to our office is $800 per month. Plus the cost of the artwork for the billboard of $600. We are also applying to the township for acceptance into the Urban Enterprise Zone which will give us access to government grants. We also want to promote our service on the radio and those ads can be more than $300 each. Since we are tech support guys I figure the best thing we can give people that contribute to our cause is the gift of tech support. We can provide support remotely anywhere in the US and Canada as long as you have a connection to the internet. We also have access to some great software products that we can pass along to contributors that come with the full license intact.
