Synopsis: THE OLD STRIPPER is a feature documentary about a 60-something former burlesque dancer from the 1970's and 80's, Opal Dockery, who takes a cross-country road trip visiting the cities on her old burlesque circuit. As Opal travels the country to discover the changes over the years, she also visits and interviews people living in those cities that remember the theater there in their town. An eye-opening film, THE OLD STRIPPER opens the public's eyes to a lost era of adult entertainment.

What makes THE OLD STRIPPER different?
Opal Dockery, the subject of the documentary THE OLD STRIPPER, is my Mother. As a child, I grew up in a background and environment. In the 1970's, I remember as a child travelling with my Mother, Opal, on the road with her burlesque circuit. It was a totally different time back then. The days of true burlesque, when stripping was an art form. I remember being backstage with the other dancers, sitting on the floor playing board games (like Monopoly and checkers), while my Mother danced onstage off in the distance. I was raised around nudity and pornography.
This is a story that needs to be told. People's eyes need to be opened to a lost era that they have never known.
I make films that shock people, open their eyes, make them think, talk and realize that people are nothing as they seem. Most of the time, people are nothing like you think they are.
Help us make this movie. THE OLD STRIPPER is a film that people have to see.

Lots going on with THE OLD STRIPPER!
It's been some time since an update....but here's one:
We've been shooting footage all year...looks like it's going to take at least another year of filming, to get the road trip footage, interviews with celebrities like Larry Flynt and John Waters, and more...
Our shorts still are exploding worldwide on the festival circuit, to build buzz and a worldwide audience for THE OLD STRIPPER!

THE OLD STRIPPER is based off our first documentary short THE 60 YEAR OLD STRIPPER. A festival hit, THE 60 YEAR OLD STRIPPER premiered at the 2006 L.A. Shorts Fest, and is playing film festivals worldwide.
