Synopsis: Ever get a big glossy catalogue in the mail that you never looked and just threw away. Imagine a crazy filmmaker who follows the life of that catalogue from the moment a tree is cut down to make it, until the time it ends up in a landfill in China. (Yes, trash paper is America's biggest export.) I am sure it would say loads about consumer culture.

How will these funds be used?
Research. It is actually a bit difficult to deconstruct a big catalogue and trace the source of its paper, printing, and creative components. The back end is nailed already. I have an in to the Waste Paper trade in Los Angeles. Did you know most container ships return to China from US ports filled with trash paper?
