Home alone and injured, TIMMY slowly realizes that he must evade the spooky old stranger, the MESSENGER OF DEATH (M.O.D.) knocking on his door and keep him out of his house until the day is over. Suddenly The MIGHTY OX, a wrestler-turned-cook and larger-than-life “star” of video games, unexpectedly comes to life. He is a monstrous, bald “burned-out has-been world champion” with a handlebar mustache. Most important, he possesses an extraordinary game-winning “secret” weapon that cannot lose. A figment of the boy’s imagination, he is the only one in the house who can help the boy. Time and time again he proves to be a guardian angel, refusing to let anyone in the house and keeping the boy safe by fighting off the hench-men of the M.O.D.

After using every trick in the book, the final hour of the day approaches and the M.O.D. realizes he has one last chance to get the boy. He tricks the boys crafty wrestler by proposing a final old-fashioned, do-or-die, no-holds-barred wrestling match with the boy as the prize. Timmy is nervous, but he knows he will make it through the day and live to grow up after his champion beats “DEATH” in the ring.

The only problem is that when all the chips are down and when the day is almost over, the “unimaginable” happens. The Mighty Ox’s potent and unique game-winning “secret” weapon turns out to be no secret after all.
