Ever get a big glossy catalogue in the mail that you never looked and just threw away. Imagine a crazy filmmaker who follows the life of that catalogue from the moment a tree is cut down to make it, until the time it ends up in a landfill in China. (Yes, trash paper is America’s biggest export.) I am sure it would say loads about consumer culture.
