Nikola Tesla the Smiljan born inventor and innovator of alternating current electricity is a forgotten hero. When Tesla reached the shores of the US in the late 19th Century he met his mentor and future rival Thomas Edison. Despite helping Edison to improve his inferior DC generators, Tesla left Edisons Electric company on the worst of terms and this marked the beginning of the War of the Currents. The fight lasted for almost half a century and culminated in Edison executing an elephant by electrocution on Coney Island. This ten part drama depicting the story of Teslas epic struggle to electrify the US with clean efficient energy will be produced in three minute episodes for internet distribution.
