Our Story
First
off I want to thank you in advance for reading our tale. I know you are all
very busy and have a lot of other matters to attend to. Unlike most of the
campaigns that you come across on this site, this project presents more than
just an idea, but also an opportunity to be involved in a heart stopping
thrill ride of and adventure that has proven potential to be nothing short of
EPIC.
"Swamp
Stompers: The Gator Wrestlers" is a documentary that dives into the known
but rarely explored world and everyday life of some of the bravest and most
thrilling men and women in the world. The documentary sets forth to reveal a
shrouded history and society of men and women who put have their lives on the
line everyday handling these prehistoric beasts. Gator wrestlers are seen as
"brave" to some and yet "crazy" to most. This informational
and insightful adventure doubles as a suspenseful and shocking, edge of your
seat thrill ride, as we are forced to face the reality of Murphy's Law. Everything
that can go wrong does go wrong, as the audience encounters misjudged tricks,
unexpected gator attacks, bites and bloody injuries. Why would anyone ever
willingly put himself or herself in a position to be potentially mulled by the
closest thing to a dinosaur left on this earth? This is only one of many
questions Swamp Stompers has set forth to answer, along with the questions of
How, What, When, and Where. We intend to bring the art and lifestyle of gator
wrestling and the legend of the gator wrestler to a respected reality for the
world and its masses.
The Impact
Once completed this film will make the Alligator Wrestler as much as an American icon as the Cow Boy. If we were to fail in our quest then the potential of hoisting these men and women up to their much deserved title of "Legendary" may be lost, branding them as nothing more than roadside tourist attractions. These mean and women are nothing short of legends yet have never been recognized as such. The American Cow Boy is an icon of everything from historic events, childhood imagination, and silver screen heroes, but when compared to a Gator Wrestler there is no denying the fact that they've met their swamp land equivalent. I can't let the these heroes of American history and folklore fade away into being a gimmick.
