I have always been fascinated by superheroes. One day, it occurred to me to ask myself Why?

So I started interviewing people in the comic book field (like Stan Lee), people in the film industry, and people who have been touched by Superheroes.

I have been shooting for a year with my own money. I am a filmmaker and film professor @ the Art Institute in Tribeca.

The Superhero obviously touches a deep chord in the human psyche. Is it a combination of wish-fulfillment, the collective unconscious, religious beliefs or something other that appeals to our human need to understand ourselves? Why is the Superhero such an American phenomenon and what does it say about American Culture?

I need help to find the answer about why Superheroes are so popular and why they have always fascinated me.
