Subject 8, a short film by filmmaking visionary and award winning director Luke Losey, explores the fascinating true story of the rise and fall of The Institute for Neurological Research which, in the 1950s, was the world’s leading research facility for ESP and Parapsychology. However, after years of insupportable claims, the institute was discredited and fell into decline.

The drama takes place in 1975 and is in the early stages of development with company Coral Bark Productions, a London based film company that has so far produced several award nominated, and winning, short films and music videos, including Where the Monsters Go (Babelgum Jury award winner 2010). Coral Bark has previously worked with Luke Losey on a number of projects, such as the recent Hot Rats music video Damaged Goods. In addition Paul Hartnoll of Orbital fame is in place to write the film score. Paul and Luke have also worked together for many years on the revolutionary stage sets for Orbital’s live shows. However, before we can begin casting and of course filming this latest venture, we need to raise the vital funds, which is where you hopefully come in.

We have put together a variety of packages to suit all investors, so there is something for everyone! For just $25 you’ll get a signed copy of Subject 8 on DVD, but if you’re feeling particularly generous you can invest in our platinum package for $5000, which includes a signed copy of the DVD, script, poster, press pack, soundtrack, a copy of our previous films and music videos, special thanks in the credits, an invite to the test screening, dinner with the lead actors and filmmakers, on set visits, an invite to the cast and crew after party, and your choice of prop from the set.

We are really excited about Subject 8; it is a fantastic story, incredibly well written (if we do say so ourselves), with some extremely talented people working behind the scenes to deliver an amazing film and experience for the audience. We will be promoting Subject 8 everywhere we possibly can, including our Coral Bark and Subject 8 Twitter accounts, our Facebook pages, the Coral Bark and Subject 8 websites, press releases throughout the project to all our industry contacts and magazines, promos at our other film screenings, and information to our LinkedIn groups and connections. We would also like help from all our investors to spread the word so we promise we will keep you regularly updated with news and developments. We’d be delighted to have you on board so please sign up and join us.
