What's SmartGardener?

SmartGardener makes it easy for anyone to plan, plant, harvest and share food grown from their home or community gardens. We launched last May with one goal: Help home gardeners simply grow great food. We have over 10,000 users and over 10,000 gardens now made by people seeking to start or improve their food gardens and their lives. 

So why are we here on Indiegogo?

Many of us want to grow our own clean, healthy, great tasting food. But it can be overwhelming, intimidating and time consuming to start and manage a garden. We want to help those people get started and be successful. Using technology in smart ways, we make this easier, and much more personalized, based on your location, household size, tastes, and growing conditions. We even send you reminders of exactly what you need to do each week.

The development of this product has been self-funded for the last two years in order to provide a really simple engaging solution to more people who want to be growing great food.

How will we use the money we raise?
Smart Gardener is a free personalized service that home gardeners are already using, but we'd like to grow the community. Our goal of $10,000 will pay for additional features that help our community connect, share and benefit from each others' efforts.

1) An online community MarketPlace so you can share or trade your garden's bounty with others locally

2) A means for gardeners with similar growing conditions to easily connect with each other to share tips and advice

Our $10,000 goal will let us provide more community support for home gardeners everywhere. That's why we're reaching out through Indiegogo to friends and fans who believe, like we do, that home food gardening is good for our taste-buds, our health, our family, our community, our pocketbooks ...and our future.
