Skeleton Girl is a 6 minute modern day parable with tongue firmly in cheek that updates the traditional cautionary tale those stories told to children to make them behave. A little orphan girl named Millicent goes for a walk in the woods and happens upon an old cemetery, where she steals a valuable gem from a gravestone. That night during a spectacular thunderstorm, she hears the tapping of bony fingers, and soon a cacophony of noises and images of her deceased mother plays out on the walls of her room. As a skeleton pays Millicent a visit to take back what is rightfully hers, the girl soon discovers why it isnt wise to steal from the dead.
A stylistic blend of 3D stop-motion animation and traditional special effects are being used to bring this tale to the screen. Told with shades of Grimms dark and satiric original fairy tales, Skeleton Girl takes us on a journey through a land of make-believe and one small girls overactive imagination.
