Our Story

Hi!  My name is Dylan Glanzer.  I own a children's entertainment company called Parties by Dylan & Company.  My employees and I don't do ordinary entertainment.  We are purely musical, and for young children, that can be magical.  My first CD, Sing Along with Miss Dylan, was made about four years ago.  I have just printed my second 1000 and I am including them as party favors for some of my party packages.  My problem is that it is really time for some new material.  Over the past four years, my company has grown from a solo operation to a real business.  It was a huge investment, but now I can provide great entertainment for more children with my trained party team.  Also, during these years, I have come across some great music I have shared with children in my classes and at parties, and they love it.  I just have to record it! 

The Impact

This second CD of mine will be filled with songs I really want to share with children today.  My last CD focused on a song I had written and on songs from my childhood.  This one has even more meaning for me.  There are songs that I loved growing up that children of today don't even know.  Songs like "Puff the Magic Dragon" and "Free to Be You and Me" are songs I feel like I just have to sing and share.  I also want to sing a Broadway medley of songs children knew by heart years ago.  There are also songs I use at parties now that I know children will want to play over and over again.  I have a few original songs that I would like to put into this great mix of music - old and new. 

I have been singing since I was four years old and I have always wanted to make a difference in the world of performing arts.  I am asking YOU to help me do this. I want to make this CD something special. More than just "Miss Dylan's new CD," but music young children can enjoy, dance to, and learn from.  I want a children's CD that parents can enjoy listening to also.  These are songs THEY will remember from their childhood, and that brings everyone together.

What We Need & What You Get

It is going to cost me close to $1000 to get the rights to 11 of the songs I want to record.  This is for the first 1000 copies of the CD.  To print the CD's and ship them, it costs about $2000.  Recording is about $2000 in a local studio.   I am also adding another $1000 to hire other musicians to play additional guitar, bass, some keyboard, and somebody on drums too. So with a budget of $6000, I think I can make this CD more than just me and my guitar this time.  This is going to be so much FUN!  But I really need your HELP!

Here is how I can really get YOU involved with this.  I have offers for my friends and fans to contribute and get the CD before anyone else.  You can also make a difference in  another child's life by giving them the gift of music and allowing me to send a CD to a child in need.  At the "Make My Child A Star" level, I would like to add your child's voice to my own.  What a great experience it will be for me and up to 15 of my young friends to be in the studio singing along with me on the album!  It will be something you both can treasure forever.  Read all the perks listed and any level you can help with would be greatly appreciated. 

And if I do reach my goal, here is my BIG PROMISE to you.  I want to give back to show my gratitude.  I will make it my pledge to sing at 5 area children's hospitals for the children who cannot get out to attend classes or parties.  I will also give out copies of my new CD to them to enjoy any time they want.
