Our Story

Greenway Entertainment have teamed up with London-based Writer/Director Daniel Johnson for his debut feature film SIDE BY SIDE. The film is a drama that carries a serious Cancer Awareness message for young adults.

The Impact & Story

SIDE BY SIDE is the story of a struggling musician whose creativity is as lacking as his willingness to take on responsibility in his life. His habit of leaving when it really matters is not an option when his girlfriend of two years is diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer.

What happens when you want to leave your girlfriend but can't do it? What happens when just as you're about to leave she gets a life-threatening illness? Do you stay because she needs you? Do you stay because you're guilty? Would she want you to stay, knowing that you're thinking of leaving?

Its a story about temptation, about reigniting passion, and about finding hope and wisdom in even the most tragic of circumstances.

Hey, I'm Dan, the Writer/Director. So, this is exactly what I've been working towards all my life; writing and directing a feature film. This is a very personal film for me; and I am crazy-excited to get going! I genuinely would love for you to help in any way you can. I know this page is essentially a cash-grab; but I promise you, my passion for cinema and my dedication to this project is genuine, and heartfelt; I love movies that tell a good story, that make you laugh, smile, and cry.
