****UPDATE****

We're going to give all present and future contributors a SCREAM PARK Fan Kit for all contributions $50 and above!  The kit includes a button, stickers, postcards and a random 8x10 publicity still, signed by that cast member.

The Plot

A local staple for many years, Fright Land amusement park is closing its gates for the last time.  A group of teenage employees decide to send the old park off by throwing a party inside after hours.  The party is soon interrupted by the arrival of two strangers.  The teenagers come face to face with terror as the strangers begin killing them off inside the park.  As it turns out the park's owner has a new plan to sell tickets -- by making their grisly deaths the new attractions!

What's The Plan

Scream Park came about as a reaction to various issues.  First and foremost, Scream Park is callback to the golden age of horror -- the 1980s.  The stalk and slash sub-genre is disappearing and we're hoping to trigger a renaissance.  The slasher films we all love are being replaced with piles of zombie films (hey, we love 'em too!), remakes, reboots, and films that chuck the Hitchcockian suspense to get straight to the gore (not that there's anything wrong with that).  We just want people to remember the little (masked...and machete-wielding) guy of the horror genre.  Our motto for this project is "Save the Slasher!"

Secondly, Scream Park came about as a need to collaborate.  Here in Pittsburgh we have quite the group of talented film and theater folk.  We all appreciate the filmmaking process very much and we've been waiting and waiting for the chance to all work together.  Pittsburgh is a town rich in horror film history and we'd like to keep it going.  A horror film also makes sense from a producing standpoint, because we don't need millions of dollars to make a great film.

Lastly, what does a great horror film need? (aside from an oil-drum of fake blood)  A NAME ACTOR!  We've already spoken to one regarding the project and we're approaching several others!  We know Scream Park is up all their alleys and the well-written script will get one, if not a few, names attached.

****UPDATE****

Well, we've brought our first NAME ACTOR on board! Nivek Ogre of Skinny Puppy and REPO: The Genetic Opera has joined our cause! Unfortunately, we can't go too far into details just yet, but we're excited to have him aboard!

We're not stopping there...we've approached two other famous actors of the horror genre and they're reading the script!  Both have already expressed interest in our project.

****UPDATE****

We're going to have a new promo video soon! We're really excited and we've been working hard on it, and we really want to share some new video work with all of you!

What We Need & What You Get

We're looking to raise $8,000 to throw this project into drive.  We're currently funded through pre-production and we want to make the leap and get the camera rolling.  The funds will help us complete casting, secure locations, complete makeup and special F/X work, and equipment rental.  Your money helps get the camera rolling and the fake-blood flowing.   Investors and celebs alike can see the appeal of our film based on the donations coming in.  As the appeal of Scream Park grows, our search for a name actor/actress becomes easier.  Best of all, we're not just going to take your dollars, say 'thanks', and boot you to the curb.  We want you to be part of the film!  We're offering memorabilia, a spot in the credits, up to date info, and even producer credits!  Check out our perks for donating.

Other Ways You Can Help

Word of mouth is just as important as funds!  Share our campaign and film with everyone you know using those fancy buttons above.  Donate $5 and then tell all your friends and family what you just did!  It helps our project as well as IndieGoGo and all the future filmmakers who are going to use it.  We believe in our project and would absolutely love to bring it to the big screen for all to see!
