Designed to delight and inspire fans of all ages, Finch says the show will be an inside sports show which will reveal the more personal side of the athletes, a focus on their background, their career and their favorite foods and dishes.
Food will also be a special focus for the show as the athletes share and prepare some of their own or their familys top recipes. Its all about fan food, says Finch what people like to eat while watching the game. Well hear from fans who submit their favorite recipes, everything from perogies and snacks to sandwiches.
While the series is designed to allow fans a fun, relaxed and entertaining glimpse into the lives of their sports heroes, there is also an inspirational element. I think we can learn a lot about success in life by looking at sports, Finch explains. Some athletes have had to overcome obstacles and challenges in order to succeed and thats something we can all benefit from. Its about the way you can play life. We plan to headline two high profile athletes per half hour show and have already generated
keen interest from the North American sports community. For example, Brent Billey of BC
Hydro’s Power Team is already in discussions with Ryan Kessler of the Canucks. Wasserman Media
Group’s Chris Talbot, Director of Athlete Marketing, is also very keen on having any number of his
top athletes on the show, pending broadcaster commitment. His roster includes Alex Rios of the Toronto Blue Jays and many others of similar calibre.
