My name is Samuel Jaymes (known unprofessionally as Samuel James Thompson) and I am a 17-year-old aspiring British author who, I am happy to say, has received great praise for my upcoming publishing debut. I am also an expectant television writer and producer, and an independent film director. My production studio is called “Studio Dream Feather”.
I am a writer of fantasy yet branch off into science-fiction, drama and romance. I have been writing since early into the age of single numbers and, ever since the age of 6, my passion was, and still is, to become an author. You are never to young to do anything!
People will soon best know me for my books “The Fabled Hearts” series, with the first book “Fallen Luminosity Roselyn” being released in the early 2009 season acting as my debut. Future titles include its sequel “Featherfall Princess Leverielle” and the separate series “Penelo Glass”.
Also pursuing a career for the screen, I am a promising television writer and is the creator of the long-running series “Steampunk”, which will be submitted to the BBC later this year (2009). “Steampunk” is completely different to the styles of regular British television and I hope to make as much as an impact as I can when bringing this to life. It is a fantasy-drama genre.
Within film, I am currently beginning production of a full-length feature entitled “The Dream Home”, a project which has been in pre-production since November 2008 and which will hopefully be scheduled for release at several International Film Festivals throughout 2009/10. I am also directing, producing and starring in numerous independant films throughout 2009 to contribute to my credits and experience. These include my “Twilight” series of shorts, which consists of the titles “The Twilight Tree”, “The Twilight Brook” and “The Twilight Sunset”. “The Twilight Tree" was released in 2006 (although rather poorly made) when I was 13 to surprisingly high acclaim. It was the first film I ever made yet I had always wanted to make a film (the desire of making a “visual book”), and a remake is currently in the works to match the quality of current projects. Both its sequels will hopefully be released alongside eachother in 2009.
I have seven additional books within the next three-to-four years to continue my true career of writing as well as trying to finish all of the projects mentioned above. I hope the discovery of IndieGoGo will assist me with my goals.
