About Story
?My name is Ashaa and SWAHA: A Journey of Transformation is the fruit of my soul searching journey. In 1845 my great grand parents traveled on a boat for one month from India to Trinidad to work as indentured laborers for twenty five cents a day. They endured the hardship of uprooting their own lives so generations of my family would have a better life. Their sacrifice was always in my heart when I came to Hollywood to be a movie star. I had so much inner conflict with the business of that world and what I was taught to value as a person. This conflict led me to dive deep into the roots of yoga and meditation in finding my true purpose. Meditation and yoga led to a Guru and cynicism. As my journey unfolds I am in India with three cameramen filming a 5000-year-old Vedic fire ceremony dedicated to world peace, initiated by this Guru. Here I find challenges to overcome and transformation begins for me, and many others at the ceremony.

Making this film has made me aware that there are generations of peacemakers who go quietly unrecognized. As I share this remarkable journey and prayer, I honor them.

The Production?
This film has one hundred hours of beautiful scenic footage ready for editing into the final cut, with trailer and rough cut available. Swaha: A Journey of Transformation has been in development for three years and in production with locations from Mumbai, the Grand Canyon, the Himalayas, Trinidad, and Los Angeles.
