Our Story
Howdy Folks, we are MangoFilm, a group of five friends who made a 90-minute feature film together. SNOWBLIND is a 'Post-Apocalyptic Spaghetti Western' that we released for free on the web. Watch the above video for a little introduction :D
After two years of work on the film, and half a year of exposure on the web with 500.000 viewers, we started this campaign to finally conclude the project. Unfortunately, making the film required spending more money than we had hoped, and of the $35,000 we had to put in, we only got $2000 back so far, mainly from online ads.

Our basic idea to get the budget for a new film was to release Snowblind on DVD and Blu-ray, for the people who want to own it in high quality (or just want to support our idea of free movies). To make the "commercial version" even more distinct, we converted the whole film into stereoscopic 3D which looks really cool.

We've already found a distributor willing to get Snowblind into stores, only we're too broke to afford the disc production... and this is where YOU can come to our rescue :D
The Impact
So that's the deal folks, we need your support to get that Blu-ray of SNOWBLIND 3D into stores - and from the money we make by selling those, we'll finally be able to start our next feature film project - and make good use of all the experience we gained by making SNOWBLIND. Let's show these Old Timers from The Industry how it's done, and that the viewers can indeed decide on what they want to see!
What We Need & What You Get
We still have enough money to make a DVD, but we really underestimated the insane things you have to pay for to get a Blu-ray produced. First, you have to pay Sony a whopping $3000 in license fees. The audio HAS to be at least 5.1 which means re-mixing and a Dolby license, another $1200 in all. The design and authoring of a Blu-ray menu is so complicated we're unable to do that ourselves - add $1000. Then we'll have to pay for the first print which will probably be 1000 units, so we have another $4000. For both versions we also need an age rating, another $1800 and a Grand Total of $11000. A tidy sum, which we don't expect to get from your pockets - we'll aim for the magic number $5555 here and scrape the rest from our own bank accounts... As we definitely won't stop so close to the finish line :D
In the unlikely case everything should go completely wrong, the worst that can happen is we won't be able to make a Blu-ray - We'd have to substitute the Blu-ray perk for a DVD, in that case a really special edition that will be limited to the number of supporters. Of course all other perks remain unaffected and will be delivered acordingly. Should you want a DVD instead of a BD anyways, just get the BD perk and let us know!

Even if you have no money to spare, or the film just isn't for you - you can greatly help us out by simply recommending it to your friends! Just send them to our website where they'll have a coice to watch or download it. Traffic there helps, as every click on the ads there also gives us some valuable cents!
