Our Story

My name is Jason R. Gray and I am an independent filmmaker from London, Ontario, Canada. I know with compete certainty that filmmaking is what I was born to do.  I love every single aspect of production and I have recently completed a short film called "SHE HAS DIVIDED ME..."  The production spanned many years on a very tight budget, financed independently.  I also wrote, directed, photographed and edited the entire project myself.  Many amazing people assisted me over the years on this production, each of them working for free.  It is my goal to honour the hard work of all involved by getting this film seen by as many people as humanly possible.  I am so very proud of what we achieved here that I cannot wait to share it.

"SHE HAS DIVIDED ME..."

A film about time and memory and one man's final recounting of an event that changes his life forever. Photomontage is used to capture fragments of time as the man follows a mysterious woman and recalls a series of important incidents from his past, of which he desires to leave behind a living account. This is a story about the transient nature of life and the beauty and darkness immortalized in the capturing of memories...

The Impact

The fact of the matter is that even after a film is complete, there is much money required to make sure it is actually seen by people other than friends and family.  Festival submissions average $30-$80 per submission and I plan on submitting to at least 30 festivals!  On top of that there is the cost of promotional materials, marketing, imdb registration, DVD production and more.  The bottom line is that I expect this film to do big things for me and all those involved.  I want to take my craft to the next level.  To do this I will need your help.

What We Need & What You Get

To make my dreams a reality, I am going to need money to fulfill the potential for "SHE HAS DIVIDED ME..." in the film festival circuit.  I will need an upgrade to my equipment to both complete the DVD authoring and production process, and to begin work on my next film, currently in pre-production.

With your generous donations, I will be able to:

- Upgrade existing post-production equipment: $1800

- Purchase Canon 60D for production on next film: $1200

- Submit to 25+ film festivals + DVD / BLURAY production costs: $1000

- Film festival travel and accommodation fees: $1000
