WHAT'S IT ALL ABOUT?

This independent animated film is for all the "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band" and "Yellow Submarine" fans out there; including us!

It is for all those who have ever asked the questions: What really inspired the Beatles to write such an amazing album? or how Pepperland came to be named Pepperland? and more importantly, why so lonely?

This is the story of a Sgt. called Pepper, his band of not too great musicians and a girl named lucy. During a surprise attack on the rainbow fleet by some meanies, Pepper and his band are separated from the fleet and drift engineless inside their yellow submarine. With a hole to fix, they drop anchor in the sky of diamonds and are soon invited to a circus unlike no other. Here they are introduced to the twisted new owner, Mr. Kite: a real mean meanie with a personal hatred towards music and having fun. With a little help from his friends and some LOVE, Pepper  finally teaches the band to play!

The short film you are contributing towards, is a side story set within the proposed feature film.

EXCUSE ME, WHO ARE YOU?

Hello There! I'm James Prestwood. Apart from being an Uber Beatles fan and an extreme animation geek, I'm also the founder of Prestwood Animation Studios Ltd. Over the past 13 years, I've been exploring the art of storytelling, animation and have been producing my own animated short films. In 2008 I decided to form an animation company which would focus on independently financing and producing shorts and eventually a feature length animated film (Here it is!)

WHY SHOULD I CONTRIBUTE?

Well here are a few really good reasons:

1. To feel FAB about supporting the arts, but also to be part of making an independent film! Now that's just cool!

2. You'll receive one of our fantastic perks listed here! Only available through the indiegogo campaign.

3. To help turn what Paul McCartney said should have been a concept album into a, that's right! A concept album!

4. And Most importantly; you will be filled with LOVE after watching the finished film and you will go out and the LOVE will spread. It will spread the whole world over and the world will live as one!

WHERE'S IT GOING TO GO?

The money you contribute will go towards all the costs incurred during production of the short: conceptual artwork, illustration, storyboards, animatics, animators etc. As a studio we are already equipped to handle small amounts of design work, script writing and some storyboarding and animation, however we will be outsourcing much of the work to artists on ANIBOOM's marketplace and through other sources and appropriate fees are needed to pay these wonderful creatives. James Prestwood is close to a final draft of the script and with your contribution we can start work as soon as possible. Once the short film is complete we will pitch the idea of a feature and all the work to Apple Corps. / Subafilms Ltd. As we progress we will be updating you with concept art, animatics and design choices.

If you would like to do something but cannot afford to contribute that is totally understandable, we are in the middle of a recession! However what you can still do to help get this film made is spread the word! Post a link on your Facebook page or email anyone you know who is crazy rich and inform them of what we are doing.
