Last year, five dancers walked on stage for the first time as professional dancers and helped make a ten-year dream come true. The show was Journey to Become, the dreamer was Princess Howell, the Founding Director.
This year Royal Expressions Contemporary Ballet is back for its second season and production, Bloom. Now that the dream has manifested, it must grow and develop, until it blossoms. Bloom seeks to inspire people to grow and develop into their greatest potential, leaving a legacy behind for those who look up to you.
Our initial fundraising goal is $2500. These initial funds will cover the cost of securing a theatre for the production, hiring a lighting designer and sound technician, purchasing costumes, and paying our dancers for rehearsal time. This amount pretty much enables us to have the show.
Our ultimate goal is actually $7500. Why? Because everyone involved volunteers their time, effort, and energy and we want to pay them. We have four talented dancers, an artistic director, marketing & IT director, photographer, lighting designer, sound technician, and other volunteers that give approximately 2669 hours to produce one show! Here is the breakdown of those hours:
Rehearsal time = 442 hrs
Administration = 2160 hrs
Photo Shoot = 12 hrs
Sound Technician = 8 hrs
Lighting Designer = 11 hrs
Other Volunteer hours = 36 hrs
Your support helps us create paying jobs for these people.
Besides that warm feeling of helping us pay our talented crew, we have several perks available when you give. It is just a small token of appreciation for your help.
$10 = signed "Journey to Become" poster
$25 = 5 blank Bloom postcards for you to give away and inspire others
$50 = A 45 minute private dance lesson for you and up to three of your friends
$100 = Invitation to the Annual Preview Rehearsal and Reception
$200 = 2 VIP Tickets to Bloom and the Annual Preview Rehearsal and Reception
Royal Expressions Contemporary Ballet is "Dance that Inspires", spread the word and help us motivate people through dance, music, and literature, to be the best self they can be! Bloom!
