What is
Reunion?
Reunion is a show
about 5 friends who were close in high school. After they graduated they
stopped hanging out with each other and moved on with their lives. 3 years
later, they start hanging out again. It's a look into the
lives of these five friends as they try to hang out like they used to. Reunion looks at how people change over time
and what influences those changes. Will things go back to the way they were
before? Can they still be friends? And why did they stop hanging out in the
first place?
Everyone
has experienced a similar situation. Whether it was seeing an old friend while
you’re out shopping or if you’ve attempted to reconnect with an old friend in
school, they’re not the same person they used to be.
Reunion will also draw on our real life experiences we’ve had since graduating
high school 4 years ago.
The show will be shot in a mockumentary/Comedy
format, similar to the way The Office or Modern Family is shot. We’re aiming
for 6-9 episodes to be released in mid 2012 on a weekly basis on our youtube
channel :

Who is behind Reunion?
Reunion is co-created by Liam Ramsay and
Jasper Garde, both members of the website SLAM Network, www.slam-network.com.
They run the youtube channel SLAM Network where they make a weekly comedy
variety videos. Notably, Liam has done a few videos with Steve-O of Jackass
fame.
Liam has achieved a Diploma in Animation, which also focused on film and sound
editing and production. He has also appeared in local theatre shows, such as
Jesus Christ Superstar with co-star Paul Giaimo.
How is the project funded? What is the funding for?
This is our most ambitious project to
date, but to do it right, we need the correct equipment. That’s what the
funding is for. If successful, we will use the funds to get new cameras, sound
and lighting equipment. Right now we’re filming with an SD handheld
Canon camera using the cameras onboard mic and house lighting.
Over the
last year and a half of making weekly YouTube videos, we've learned to be
flexible and resourceful with our zero dollar budgets.
The plan is to use any excess funds, should we get it
fully funded, to help a charitable cause: The National Downs Syndrome Congress.
The Pledge Drive
On January 22nd, we will be
holding a Live Telethon on our website to help raise funds for the campaign. We’ll
be live with loads of new videos to entertain you guys and we’ll be featuring a

Why a Webseries?
We strongly believe the foundations for the future of
digitally distributed content will be laid by webseries. We don't see
a webseries as a stepping stone to get a feature film project, or a TV deal - a
good webseries is an end unto itself. The webseries format is uncharted
territory, and we want to explore it.
What's the status of the production?
Reunion is currently in pre-production. The scripts have all
been written. Production is scheduled to start
late January/ Early February, with the project finishing mid- 2012.
