Synopsis

The Re-Living centres on a nameless man, someone who could easily be you, me, or your next door neighbour. On the surface, this man appears kind, charming, slick and funny. Get into this man’s psyche however, and you’ll find that he is nothing like you or me. This man is sick. He kills people.

His latest victim is someone he has seduced, a young unsuspecting woman who has let him into her home. He takes advantage of this, capturing photographic mementos before torturing, maiming and killing her. After completing this horrific act, the man is transported to an eerie, foreboding landscape. In this mysterious place, something hunts him.

This presence shows the man the scenes leading up to the woman’s death, making him re-live them, and communicating through her to ask why the man is compelled to take life. The man, afraid of this creature does his best to escape, but no matter how fast or how far he runs, he cannot escape. Whatever this thing is, God, a demon, his own conscience, it wants him to answer for the terrible crime he has committed…

History of Project

This short film was born out of the simple concept of making a short centering around some unique and interesting camera techniques. It has since bloomed into a full blown action packed short film…story and everything! The production itself will be very small, minimal cast & crew, and a miniature budget to match.
