ROLE/PLAY is the fifth feature film from writer/director Rob Williams and production company Guest House Films. After making four award-winning films (MAKE THE YULETIDE GAY, 3-DAY WEEKEND, BACK SOON and LONG-TERM RELATIONSHIP), we have decided to take greater control over our work by focusing on self-distribution and working directly with our fans through sites like IndieGoGo.

For the first time, we are giving fans and supporters of independent filmmaking the chance to be part of our film – all donations get your name in the “Special Thanks” credits of the film, and you can also pre-order the DVD of the film (estimated delivery date in the fourth quarter of 2010), or for larger pledges, get the entire collection of Guest House Films DVDs and soundtrack CDs, or even a private screening of the film once it’s finished.

Your donations go directly to support the film’s post-production and marketing costs, and any amount is appreciated!

ROLE/PLAY is a dramatic narrative feature film about a recently outed actor (played by Steve Callahan from EAST SIDE STORY and NINE LIVES) and a recently divorced gay marriage activist (played by indie gay film star Matthew Montgomery from REDWOODS, SOCKET, PORNOGRAPHY: A THRILLER, LONG-TERM RELATIONSHIP, BACK SOON and GONE BUT NOT FORGOTTEN). Hiding out from negative media coverage, the two men meet at a secluded Palm Springs resort, where they soon find common ground as they explore the fickle nature of fame in the gay community and the issues facing gay celebrities in the media. The film also will feature Brian Nolan from THE LAIR and Jim J. Bullock from TV’s “Too Close For Comfort.”

Thank you for your interest and your support of ROLE/PLAY and of independent filmmaking!
