The Next Film From the Carson Brothers
After spending eight months on the script, we are preparing our next story, Prosper, for principal photography this January.
Logline: Intelligent, attractive, and ambitious GRAE MATTHEWS always envisioned herself with Leonard. On paper, a hard working, faithful, wealthy man seems the practical choice for a life partner. However, when intuition trumps reason, we ride along the razor's edge that is a woman's conflict between commitment and infidelity.
About the Project:
This is the second short film from Carson Brothers Creations. In 2011, we brought 'Black, Red, Yellow' to international film festival screens with nominations for Best Screenplay at the Maverick Movie Awards in Connecticut, Best Soundtrack at the Action on Film International Festival, an Honorable Mention award for Best Short at the Myrtle Beach International Film Festival, and WINNER for Best Dialogue at the Action of Film International Festival. We are looking to challenge ourselves as film makers and put to practice all the experience/knowledge we've gained since our last effort in an even more dynamic attempt at story telling.
Prosper is an edgy, suspense filled drama that questions the audience's morals/opinions on the controversial topic of adultery. When or how is it permissible? Is it ever permissible? And more importantly, how easily/natural does the notion of infidelity creep into our minds? Then, in our most challenging of risks to date, we dare to offer answers to these questions by telling the story from a woman's perspective.
What We Need:
After wringing the budget dry of every excess drop of water, we believe we can pull off 'Prosper' for $3,500. This number includes 45% costs for the actual production (cameras, lighting, locations) 20% for cast and crew (food, transportation, on-set items), and roughly 35% for post-production costs (editing, sound, visual effects). The Carson Brothers will receive ZERO dollars as either profit or payment for their work and contributions to the film. Every penny, whether we accomplish our goal or inexplicably fall short, will be spent on the production of "Prosper."

$25 - Prosper Premiere - Should you decide to fight the urge to spoil yourself with a bottle of Jack Daniels, we will show our appreciation by providing you and a date with free entry to our film premiere and wrap party in Los Angeles; an overall cool night out with cast and crew at the completion of the project!!! Limited to 50.
$50 - Prosper Special Thanks Credit - Instead of forking out the cost of an LA parking ticket, instead feed your meter and donate to our cause!! This increment gets you a 'Special Thanks' credit in the actual credits of our film. Limited to 25.
$100 - Prosper VIP Access - For the price of a bad date in downtown that turns cold by the main course (thanks Match.com), you can instead donate to 'Prosper' and get a personal, behind the scenes tour of the shooting of our film with VIP access to one day of shooting with the Carson Brothers and crew. In addition, the first 15 people to donate this increment, if they so choose, are welcome to work on set as 'extras' and be on camera in different scenes throughout our actual film. Limited to 15.
$250 - Prosper VIP Premiere - The price of a nice pair of jeans that will fade, sunglasses you will sit on, or two Lakers Tickets to an NBA game that will be cancelled, you get VIP access to the film premiere party where you will be able to meet and greet early with the entire cast and crew. You may choose to take on a role as an extra in the film. You get to visit the set during one day of shooting, and receive a "Prosper" t-shirt and a Blu-Ray DVD of the completed film signed by cast and crew. Limited to 5.
$500+ - Prosper Associate Producer - For the meager cost of a round trip flight to Hawaii, you can get...you know what? F*ck it! Go to HAWAII !!! But if you choose to forego a trip to paradise and contribute to our film, you will receive all the aformentioned benefits as well as receiving your own full size movie poster, signed by both directors as well as the title ASSOCIATE PRODUCER for official film and IMDB credits. Limited to 2. Who the Carson Brothers Are: The Carson Brothers - Andrew Abrahamson and Erik Cardona, are an independent writing, producing, and directing team based out of Los Angeles, California. The film making duo have worked together for 3 years now, growing from Internet television series, short films, to currently packaging their first feature for production. Their passion for movie making ignited when Andrew, fresh from his hometown of Seattle, Washington met up with Erik, fresh off a trip from Samoa with a stint on CBS's 'Survivor' in Los Angeles. Andrew following a dream and Erik landing in one decided to take their collective strengths and talents surrounding film making and story telling and pursue a career together. They struck success with their first short film in the Independent Film Festival circuit with various credits and look to blow the doors off the competition this second time around. In their short time, the Carson Brothers have worked with several talented professionals including Kris Park (Drive me Crazy) Paul Rae (True Grit, W) Kristen De Luca (Playboy centerfold) Eddie Vedder (Pearl Jam) and are looking to expand our network of talented men and women to be part of our growth as professionals ourselves.
