WRITER / DIRECTOR: MATT CROYLE
PRODUCERS: DON CARPENTER, JOHN CROYLE      COMPANY: CROYLE ENTERTAINMENT, ONE FISH FILMS
Note to potential producers: We do NOT have to raise our entire goal to make this film. Our goal is the ideal amount we need to raise to make the film at the quality level we expect from ourselves. This film will be made regardless of the funds raised here on IndieGoGo. However, you have the chance to get your name on a great film for as little as one dollar. Join us in making a great little picture.
Screenplay Length: 93 Pages

Our Beginning

Although the screenplay for our film was selected as a runner-up in the 2008 Great Lakes Independent Film Festival's Scriptwriting Competition, its origins started back when Writer/Director, Matt Croyle, was still working on his undergraduate degree. The die-hard, bleeding-heart romantic (to a fault), started scribing a story about loss -- a story that finally came to fruition when it was adapted and developed on stage as part of Clarion University of Pennsylvania's theater season in 2003.

Matt reworked the screenplay to include dialogue and elements he added for the stage production, elements he thought would make it a much better story -- and the selection in 2008, at the Great Lakes Independent Film Festival, proved the script was tangible, real, and people could really relate to what was being said on the page.

The idea to finally bring this story to the screen, after over a decade, has been aided by the continuing development of technology able to be used by not just the Hollywood elite -- that has put the camera in the hands of people who want to tell stories that truly mean something to people, that can connect us and show us there is something that we all share: the human condition -- that's what making this movie is about for its team members, producers, and backers.

Our Projected Impact

We, the creative team behind 'Potential Inertia', are making this feature film because we want people to understand that they are not alone in the world when dealing with loss. People talk about, and hear of, someone losing somebody, or a dream, or something important everyday, but the impact isn't really there until it happens to you personally.

In making this film and bringing it to audiences, we hope that it will bring people closer together by letting them experience the movie as a collective of people who all have that something in common. Maybe, through the creative process, we can bring people together just a little more than they were before. And, that in itself, is a step forward in understanding each other and our connectedness as human beings.

So, please tell your friends and family members to get behind a film project that's not about cashing in at the box office, and is about what film should be -- storytelling.

Brief Synopsis

The story revolves around a young man, Declan Holmes, who is graduating college and about to make the transition to the "real world". As he's going through this life-changing time, he's faced with losing people that matter and struggles to process and ultimately deal with those losses.

What We Need

Honestly, this film can be made for less than $10,000 USD, but it won't look anything like the quality film we want it to be.

*** CURRENTLY, WE ARE LOOKING TO OPTIONS THAT ARE COMPARABLE TO THE HIGH-END OUTPUT OF THE RED CAMERA SYSTEM THAT MAY BE LESS EXPENSIVE TO USE BUT WILL STILL RETAIN THE HIGHEST QUALITY PICTURE FOR THE COST.

The actors, producers, and crew members will not get paid to work on this movie. They are doing it for the love of the story, the process, and for audiences to come together.

As A PRODUCER You Get The Following
