I am Tahira. I am passionate about the Black and Latino community but specifically the youth that are in it. My project is to capture the desolation and desertion that Far Rockaway is, how it became that way and what that community has in common with many Black and Latino communities throughout the US and the world. I want to world to see what I see, what my students see and what the residents of these communities see and how the world relates to us.
