Our Story

The Bucky Walters is a young acoustic ensemble who started their bluegrass infused escapades in the hills of Humboldt County, California. Their music is a frenetic, foot stomping mix of all genres past and present, expressed through a collection of acoustic string instruments and one wailing harmonica. The traditional instrumentation of The Bucky Walters helps keep that old-timey feel while composing not-so-traditaional songs providing people from across the map music to listen and dance to.

The Impact

We love playing music with each other and we love spreading the music and good energy around this nation of ours. But it takes a lot of money for us to do this folks!  We have gigs lined up all over the country this Summer and we need your help to get there.  We are just a humble Bluegrass band from the 'Bottoms of the hills of Humboldt County' trying to get our music out there.  We have given this album all we got and we're excited to bring it to your town but our capitol is almost drained and we have many expenses before we can hit the open road, one of them being a band vehicle.

We are playing all the shows we can and saving every penny, but we are fast realizing that it is not going to cut it.  That's why we are reaching out to all of you and asking for your donations.  We need to raise some funds before the rubber can meet the road.  We now have a band van, but we have tons of expenses and we have an uphill climb ahead of us, but you can help!  Please Donate whatever you can, any amount is accepted.

What We Need & What You Get

Here is the Breakdown.  We need to raise $5000 in two months.

Ok, "where is this money going?" you may ask?  "Am I buying them beer and veggie burritos?"  No!  How dare you!   :)   We need this money for the initial costs of getting on the road.  This includes making this van a tour worthy vehicle.  We need a trailer, seats and, well everything.... the van is super stripped on the inside, exposed wiring and all, it's really hazardous folks.  We need to make our van safe, don't you care about our safety?  If we don't reach our goal the nice people at Indiegogo.com are going to take a chunk of everybody's kindly dontated mullah!  Please help us reach our goal so we can come to your town this summer.
