PATIENT ZERO
Patient Zero is the directorial debut from visual effects artist, Jerome Chagnon, produced by Ashley Doss (Into the Depths, Acid Bath) and cut by Student Academy Award Nominee, Vlad Korishev (EmVERSE). The quintessential Resident Evil fan film. Taken straight from the video game, emanating such themes as love, deception....and zombies!
THE PLOT
Albert Wesker and William Birkin have worked tirelessly at the Umbrella corporation, concocting the first bio-weapon for the shady pharmaceutical corporation. They are running low on resources and they need more test subjects; lab assistant Ada Wongs boyfriend, John, might be just what the doctor ordered.
THE FILM & THE FILMMAKER
Patient Zero has been created with the fans of video game series in mind (unlike certain Hollywood adaptations), but executed in a way that anybody can enjoy it. Although featuring zombies, the story is deeply rooted in the characters emotional and psychological journeys...and the special effects are as evocative as the story.
Having worked as a graphic designer in Europe for over 13 years, Jerome moved to America and received a B.S. in digital filmmaking and has been working as freelance motion graphics and special effects artist since. For his directorial debut, Patient Zero, he has pulled from iconic influences such as Alien (Ridley Scott, 1979), The Thing (John Carpenter, 1982) and German expressionism (Fritz Lang, F.W. Murnau) so expect a perfectly creepy, aesthetically pleasing film.

WHAT CAN YOU (THE AUDIENCE) DO?
Patient Zero has left post and is ready to be distributed amongst the masses. Jerome Chagnon funded the film out of pocket and is now looking for additional funds for DVD production and start up capitol for his next project. What is so great about low budget filmmaking and crowd funding is that a little bit goes a long way. Jerome is not asking for a six figure budget, but a meager $2,500 and he is not asking for a enormous donations from each of you; small donations made by a large groups of people is all he is asking for.
BUT WHATS IN IT FOR THE AUDIENCE?
Well, the digital premiere for Patient Zero will commence on Halloween and for only a $10 donation youre name will roll with the end credits of the film. For a $25 donation you will receive your name in the credits, as well as a special edition DVD (chock full of bonus material, it will be released around Christmas 2011). $50 will get you both of the previous prizes, as well as a Patient Zero T-Shirt and if you go all the way with a $500 donation you will receive everything, except your name will be credited as an Executive Producer.
