Paper Parachutes is a childrens fantasy film about obsessively ordered nine year old Miles. He receives his birthday presents by parachute from his Uncle Ed who hasn’t come down with the parachute since Miles’ 5th birthday.
For his 9th birthday, the present on the end of the chute is a book about how to make the 10 most perfect paper airplanes. Miles decides to perfect them all in his for his 10th birthday, when his Uncle is sure to return.

Miles has such a strong imagined world about his Uncle that he fails to see the efforts his hopelessly disorganized parents make to keep his dreams of Ed’s return alive.
