Every generation creates problems that the following generations will have to solve. The current youth of America will have to solve and compromise with a world in deep economic and environmental crisiswar in the middle east, an Africa infested with genocide. But unlike the generations before us, our connection and understanding of the American identity seems lost. Life, liberty and justice, have been replaced with McDonalds, Walmart and Nascar. I see plastic not patriotism. What do others see? Join ten young Americans, artists, photographers, writers, students, thinkers etc. on a road trip across the nation, east to west, in an attempt to identify with our morally collapsing nation. Capturing the America we see, the problems we face, the interesting people and places we come across, and what else may happen along the way—the viewers will discover the beauty and sadness through our perspective. The American stereotype is typically portrayed as ignorant and self-righteousliving in an American centered world. Does our nation’s youth represent this stereotype? Can we affect the direction our country is headed? Do we even understand it?
