Our Story
The Impact
New England, Boston specifically has seen scores of Big Budgeted Hollywood Movies filming locally. There is a misconception however that they're actually benefiting the
local film community. Sure, they are allowing few crew members and even
few actors to gain employment on a Hollywood production, yet other than
small roles and bottom of the barrel crew positions, these Movies have
not done much to further our careers or opportunities as film makers.
Bostown Entertainment is taking steps, however small, to ensure our
talent community continues to work. With our first Production "Bad
Blood", we employed over 10 crew members and have had lots of success in
the Festival Circuit to date. Exposure is gaining momentum and although
we were unable to line peoples pockets with money, the experience to
have a hands on job is unmatched.
With Ordinary Man, the crew will be twice as big and the cast is expanding from the 3 in Bad Blood to 8 in Ordinary.
Please help us and our film community to continue on our path. With the
you, we can show Hollywood there is more to New England than a few throw
away P.A.'s and some background actors.. It's time for New England to
shine!!
What We Need & What You Get
Our efforts to not only create entertaining and thought provoking films require funds. Bostown Entertainment has a small pool of investors which continually supports the local film community. However, their efforts alone are not enough. We are seeking an additional 7K in order to begin our next project. With your contribution, we will be able to pay the Cast and Crew the rates they rightfully deserve and gain the exposure via Festivals and Screenings.
If you make a contribution you will receive in return, various perks displayed on this page.
Other Ways You Can Help
Money is not the only way to help! We understand in difficult times such
as these, even a mere $5.00 may be too much for some. If you are
looking to contribute in other ways, spread the word! Help get this page
to as many people as possible. The more people who know, the more help
we get.So Share, share and share this page some more!!!
