Denie Hiestand was born and raised in New Zealand, where he grew up on a dairy farm. There he learned to be a man, about priorities and responsibilities. He learned about work ethic, about what is important. What he did not learn about was his spirit, his soul.

Through the early part of his life Denie followed the footsteps laid in front of him by his father and what everyone told him he was expected to do.

Until it all came crashing down. Under a pile of debt, feeling worthless, Denie barely survived. No one had taught him how to deal with his feelings, with his emotions. No one taught him how to work through his problems. No one taught him that it is admissible for men to be fallible, to be less than perfect. That one can ask for help. He did not know how to reach out for any one, not even his wife and children.

One day on a trip to nowhere he discovered his gift. He discovered his inner energy and strength. Suddenly Denie was awake. He was alert. He began to feel happy. To make the final step, he had to let go of everything. He sold his farms, paid his debts, left his wife and children, and left New Zealand in search of his true self.
