When a boy meets a girl, it’s very rare for both of them to become very best friends because either way, one of them (usually the boy) will be the one taking it a step further beyond that “friendship” line. In this short film/music video, we’ve introduce a boy, Briane, who is secretly in love with his best friend Zeal. Complications arise when Zeal meets another boy and her friendship with Briane slowly fades away, but will it fade to nothing?

This short was filmed in 5 separate days in March 2010 with a $0 budget. Our passion for film-making has brought us thus far; creating short films and music video just for many and any viewers’ entertainment.

This film is very close to completion, we are still planning on extending it so some shots could extend longer (as you can tell towards the end, shots tend to be rushed).

Alex Deguzman, Director: Alex started out in Acting in Theatre Arts, with a background of a family full of Audio and Visual Artists, it was easy for him to merge the two together. The first time he realized he wanted to Direct was when he participated in Community Theatre. He felt that he has the passion to direct and see pieces fit together for a show. Later on his Acting experience transpired on paper, when he started to write stories, and ultimately started putting together scripts. In the future Alex sees HiandBye Production as a independent film company, producing movies that are engaging to the audience and always pushing the limits of Cinema.

Ken Lauguico, Producer: Ken Lauguico is an aspiring photographer, cinematographer and soon to be DoP born in San Francisco and raised in South San Francisco. His generosity in working with and for others (for free) has brought viewers’ eyes on his works and his in-the-process portfolio. Ken sees his future developing the Hi and Bye Productions crew (est. 2009) further in quality, possibility, and satisfying the viewer through creativity in motion picture.
