How we Roll. Why we Play. Who we Love.

Of Dice and Men is a play about a group of 30-something Dungeons & Dragons players and what happens when one of them enlists to go to Iraq.

At the 2010 PAX gaming convention, 550 people waited in line for hours to see the World Premiere of "Of Dice and Men" by Cameron McNary.  The convention staff stopped counting after they turned away 250 people who got there too late.  Help us bring "Of Dice and Men" to a Regional Theater near you with your donation.

Of Dice and Men is a celebration of Geek Culture and gamers in particular, about D&D and the friendships formed through gaming. Playwright Cameron McNary says, I wanted to write about the kinds of gamers I knew, not the cheeto-stained, overweight, moms-basement-living stereotype, but the highly-functional, attractive, fun-to-be-around folks I game with.

"It takes some fucking balls to put on a show anywhere, let alone in a converted convention room.  Something special must have happened in there, though, because people wanted to talk about it for the remainder of the show."-- Tycho, Penny Arcade

Of Dice and Men made PAX for me. For laughter and tears, nothing else compared...They deserved the packed house and the standing ovation they got.  You must see and become involved with this play if you ever have a chance."-- Chris Sims, Critical-Hits.com

"It is a play for our tribe, as McNary puts it. And yet this simple two act play could be a window through which mainstream, normal people could see us for what we are just as emotional, complex and hopeful as anyone else."-- M, Geek's Dream Girl

Its a blisteringly funny and deeply affecting story about friendship, what it means to be a grown-up, and why gaming matters.
