Built for Collapse is a sponsored project of Fractured Atlas, a non-profit arts service organization. Contributions for the purposes of Built for Collapse must be made payable to Fractured Atlas and are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law.

What's the Project?

Nuclear Love Affair is a spectacular investigation of historic events that follows America as she enters the Atomic age and begins her torrid love affair with violence.  We aim to show through music, media and live performance the social and political chain reaction caused by the atomic bomb. Focusing on the period of 1941-1969, we aim to decode our nations reverence with the atomic age, examining the figurative shock waves of this war-obsessed era and how they still resonate today.  Nuclear Love Affair is presented by Built for Collapse and premieres at The Tank in early May.

Built for Collapse is a New York City-based arts organization dedicated to building multi-disciplinary communal celebrations that stimulate the senses.  At times an erotic opera, at times a freakish and violent circus, Built for Collapse has been described as a subversive and creative new approach to theatre. Founded in 2008 by Sanaz Ghajarrahimi and Ben Hobbs.

The Tank is a non-profit space for performing arts located west of Times Square on 45th Street.  It facilitates new work by emerging performers, designers, writers, directors and producers.
