To be shot in and around Baltimore, Niya’s Dove is the story of a young woman’s journey to personal discovery, spiritual growth, and ultimately, life purpose.
The main character, Niya, finds herself struggling through a time in life when we all must consciously decide to either turn our backs on our dreams and enter the “rat-race,” or muster the courage to chase them. Her struggle creates intense internal turmoil as she’s beginning to lose hope.
As the story progresses, Niya meets Mazz, a modern-day renaissance man. Impressive and larger than life, he convinces her to join him in an experiment in dating which would bring a sense of purity we have forgotten. Neither of them has any clue how drastic this relationship will change both of their lives.
In an explosive moment, Niya is introduced to her true dream, her purpose. With Mazz’s lead, the life she knew begins to disappear. And a new life of inspiration and uncertainty is born.
During this spiritually chaotic transformation, her character begins to form. She begins to grow into the woman she was destined to be. The further she moves from her past, the closer she comes to her purpose. Will she have the courage to finish this journey? If she does, what will be the price?
