Who am I?

I'm Dhaivat Pandya. I am in the ninth grade, and I love to develop software that makes lives easier.

Why NimbleNotes?

NimbleNotes is being created because of problems that I face (and you probably face, too), and here they are:

• I spent half my time messing around with margins, font sizes and colors in Word instead of actually getting work done
  
• Word has a bajillion options, only two or three of which we all care about, and I have to go hunting for them every time
  
• I needed something that would allow me to write across many computers, and still access the same data
  
• I also wanted easy sharing of whatever I wrote across many different websites (Facebook, Twitter, etc.), and not just to other users of the service
  
• I hate logins (and I'm sure you do too!).
  
• Many services require people to make accounts in order to view things I've shared with them, which is insane
  
• Images need to be simple to put in
  
• Not all of my family members are computer savvy, but, I still want to be able to share notes and images with them and they shouldn't have to create accounts, or navigate a complex interface
  
• I didn't want an application just to take notes; it had to be usuable for writing long pieces as well
• The application had to be extremely user friendly, yet it cannot compromise my productivity in any way

I realized slowly that there was nothing that satisfied all of these criteria. So, I set out to develop something for myself. 

I got a prototype working, and it solved a lot of these problems for me, and I wanted to take it further because I realized that these problems were common and needed to be solved. I called the solution NimbleNotes. NimbleNotes does these really, really well:

• Beautiful, well thought out interface
  
• It is INCREDIBLY easy to use
  
• Keeps the writer extremely productive
  
• Only the stuff you need, no cruft
  
• All the stuff's in the cloud; you can access it from anywhere!
  
• No logins
  
• Despite having no logins, it keeps track of your notes for you
  
• Images are as simple as drag and drop or copy and paste, no uploading and hunting for files. Images are central to the application, not just something tacked on.
  
• Two click sharing on Facebook, Twitter and Email
  
• Despite trying its best to be perfectly usable to everyone (for both reading other's notes and writing your own), it doesn't weigh you down in productivity

To turn this prototype into an amazing and unique product that will reach your hands, we need *your* help. 

Firstly, we want to create mobile apps for the iPhone, the iPad, Android and Windows Phone 7 so you can write wherever you are, and then be able to pick up on it later. 

We also need some software to get the website perfect for your consumption (like drawing, password-protected notes, etc.), and we need a scalable hosting provider so we can keep NimbleNotes on the air, all the time. 

We'll also have several themes by launch, many of which are dark text on light background.

And, of course, we need trademarks and a bunch of other legal stuff that's required.
