About Me

I guess I am an ordinary city boy from Los Angeles, but please don't underestimate the knowledge of kids my age. Just because Im 13 years old doesnt mean I have no experience in life, I traveled through most of world and in fact I have a great, true and inspiring story to tell you. It all happened when I went to school in Los Angeles. My school was mostly built of concrete and iron. Sometimes it actually reminded me of jail. So I thought of a way how I might be able to change all this, to turn our school into a happy green school with trees and plants! So I started doing community service with my friend. We started picking up bottles and cans after lunch break since there wasnt much to do during lunch break. We did have a soccer field but we didnt have access to it except for when we had sports class. So anyway, after doing it for a couple days many kids watched us and we inspired them to recycle with us. After only a month we had about 20 kids in our recycling group. At the end of every week we took the bottles to a recycling factory and we received about 5 cents a bottle and 10 cents a can. After saving up our money for a couple of months we earned a few 100 dollars. We were very proud of what a few kids can accomplish if they really want to. So I got in contact with a tree company I suppose it was the tree people and I ordered a couple of trees for the beginning and we also hired a couple of tree experts to teach us how to plant these trees. Finally it became what I wanted: a green school! And my team stood there and I said: look what we have achieved for a bunch stupid little 10 year olds! But suddenly in the following month supervisors got mad at us for walking all around campus picking up bottles. I was really disappointed in some of these people but we did not give up. Didnt they have respect for what we were doing? We continued doing our job and no matter who got into our way we didnt give up. Most of these kids were so passionate about doing this project. And thats why we never finished doing our job at our school in LA. After 2 years I moved back to Austria with mom and my brother. The main reason was actually my great school called G/RG Sachsenbrunn. And that is where I met two amazing and inspiring guys: Greg and Stu!
