Our Story

New England has a great Art Scene, and Portland has a great Array of Galleries.  However most of these galleries are only looking to display commercial works. This leaves lots of the less conventional artists without an outlet.

The goal of this Art Show is to help get more of the local artists who can't get their work in galleries, or who at least never even thought they had a chance, out there and to get people to look at their work. To appreciate it despite or perhaps for its non conventional ways.

The Impact

This show will help many New England artists gain exposure and present their work to people they couldn't reach without this event. It will also hopefully give the Portland audience an introduction to art and ideas they wouldn't normally be presented with.

What We Need & What You Get

The $2000 will go towards securing a venue(Insurance fees, Permit fees if it's held on public property,Security deposits, and application fees if held on public property), helping to fund participating artists, paying the bands that come to play, advertising, and renting any necessary equipment(PA, Generator, Tents, Stage)

Other Ways You Can Help

You can tell all your friends, make us flyers. Show them to us and we'll probably print them up and put em around. Or just put them up yourself wherever you are. Or do both, whatever floats your boat. The more people that hear about it, the more funding we'll have, the more artists we can show, and the more people will come.

Also you can come to the show, you can have art in the show, you can run around waving your arms and screaming about the show. Just help us get people there.

If you do want to have art in the show and you're a New England Artist, or if you have any questions, send an E-Mail to EvanTGilbert@gmail.com.
