Our Story

NoVA Christian Film loves the Lord and loves making films! We have the unique opportunity to create a Christian Film and enter it into a worldwide competition hosted in the Media Capital of the world, Los Angeles! We are launching a fundraising campaign to support our upcoming production for the 168 Film Project!  Producers in the competition will shoot and edit an 11-minute movie based on a Bible verse and the theme, “Promises, Promises,”. What's the catch? We have to complete the entire film in just 168 hours – yep, that’s one week!  NoVA is motivated and up for the challenge! Awards will be given for productions with outstanding artistic and technical merit (e.g. Best Picture, Best Direction, etc.) The winner of Best Picture receives a cash prize and a sit down meeting with Ralph Winter, producer of X-Men and Fantastic Four. By taking advantage of this blessed opportunity, NoVA is fulfilling its mission of honoring Jesus Christ and spreading His word through film. 

Our first day of Production is right around the corner, and begins on February 16, 2012 at 11am.

What We Need & What You Get

Your donations will go towards renting the much desired RED EPIC camera package, renting lighting and grip gear, purchasing external hard drives to store the very large EPIC files, production insurance, location fees, transportation costs, purchasing/renting costumes/props, and providing meals for a very hungry, group of cast and crew!

In return we have prizes to include: DVDs, autographed posters, FREE Film/Networking Events, visits to the set, even a walk down the Red Carpet Premier in Los Angeles! Check out the rewards along the right side for more details.

NoVa Christian Film operates as a ministry member of Faith in the Family International (FFI) a tax-exempt, 501(c)(3), non-profit Virginia corporation headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina. All contributions are tax-deductible as provided by law. After your gift is processed, you will receive a receipt for tax purposes.
