My Story

My name is Patrick Stannard, I am a recent graduate of the College for Creative Studies in Detroit Michigan, and my film has been accepted to its first festival!  The deadline is September of 2011, and my film is almost complete.  For a year I have funded this project by myself and put in countless man hours to bring it to where it is now.  In order to make completing this film by its deadline a realistic goal, I require help in purchasing materials and supplies. 

The Impact

This is my first film to enter into a festival.  It tells the story of a master apprentice relationship within a family.  A young boy, Emilio, son to a famous fictional painter, strives to gain his fathers acknowledgment.  Brianelli, Emilio's father and giant of the film, only wants to be left alone long enough to finish his painting.  The two trade spots as protagonist and antagonist, until it seems the world might explode.  I am hoping that my film touches audiences and lets them examine who in their family might look up to them, and who in their family they look up to.

I need roughly $2000 dollars to help purchase materials for production of the final stages on my film, and for distribution once it is completed.  I have compiled a list of gifts to give in exchange for donations and it goes as follows.

Exposure is always good, and if you don't think you can help by donating then please tell a friend.  I am dead set on completing this film, and it acts as a major milestone in my career.  I will make by with or without the donations, but the $2000 dollars will definitely help make the journey a little smoother, and provide for crucial materials needed to complete the film.
