My Story

 

I’ve been living in Korea for over three years and love it. When I first moved to Korea, I lived in a rural country town of 1000 inhabitants. Small. Being a creative soul with not much to do, I picked up a ukulele and taught myself to play while watching YouTube. Great teacher she was. Even though I have only really been playing music for the last three years – and I am just getting started, I have been a spoken word artist and poet for over ten years. That where my music found its roots – in the word. 

 

After a lot of fumbling with the ukulele and a loop station, I began to write my own songs. While practising cover songs, I could never really do justice to the original so I decided to get ambitious and make an album. The songs you will hear on "Saving Earthworms from Sun Scorched Death" have evolved over the last 10 months to what you hear now. 


The album has 9 songs, 3 spoken word tracks, an intermission and an outro. You'll hear a ukulele infused folk-esque sounds ringing throughout the album in both English and Spanish.These tunes will have you singing along as you smile through the streets with a little extra bounce in your step!

The Impact

Many people have dreams. "I want to do this and that one day". Days turn into months and months turn into years and the dreams still exist as dreams. If you have an idea, do something to make it happen. Break it down into small steps. Never underestimate the possibilities when even one person has a dream they want to fulfil and they work towards it. This project is to inspire people to be creative and make their artistic dreams come true. 

 

What I Need & What You Get

I'll be using the money raised to pay for a professional mastering of the album. Also, it will be used to print a little booklet to sell at gigs and on the street. Those who sponsor me will get fun stuff in return!
