The Show

We're a troupe of stand-up comedy performers with a fascination for baddies.

All funds being raised for a unique Edinburgh Festival Comedy show called 'Monsters'. Monsters: A History of Villainy is a sketch show featuring history and fiction's greatest villains.

Monsters aims to bring to life epic characters, portraying them in irreverent, human and silly situations. Our show aims to answer 'Are villains more important to us than heroes?'.

Think a lecture meets Loose Women meets Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure and you're sort of in the right territory!

Was Hitler pranked by his friends? What if Big Bad Wolf went on a dating show? Is Santa teased by his blokey mates for his wussy image? Were Polar Bears and Global Warming ever good friends?

Featuring rising comedians and starring Brian Blessed, each day will see a guest star comic grace the performance in a chat show segment.

Future?

We love history and literature and are fascinated by the role of villains. We aim to produce a fun and quirky show that brings to life great baddies, with a view to touring schools in the UK.

It will also be a platform for new comedians with budding writers providing material and a star guest cameoing each night.


Advertise and Contribute!

We need to pay for brochure fees, flyers, posters, rent, props and travel.

In return for helping fund the show, guest patrons will get a credit on the flyer as Producer ($30), Exec Producer ($100) or VIP Producer ($250). You will also become an honorary Monster!

We'll be inviting a variety of small businesses and arts organisations to be patrons, therefore their business name will appear on the flyer as a sponsor alongside individuals.

Each patron will be allocated a ticket to see any performance they wish as a gift in a VIP section.

We've already got funds from someone from Little Britain (whom has to remain nameless) and a huge British rock/pop band (also not supposed to name). Indeed, having these guys help, shows great faith in the cause.


Plus the Lord Mayor of Coventry!
